SARASOTA, Fla. – November 20, 2015 – 8:15 a.m.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at approximately 7 p.m., a female victim was riding her bicycle on the sidewalk on the northern edge of Centennial Park (1059 North Tamiami Trail), near the 10th Street Boat Ramp parking lot, in Sarasota, when she was sexually assaulted.
The victim was pulled from her bicycle and dragged into the northern wood line where the suspect sexually assaulted her. The suspect is described as dark skinned black male, between 30 and 40 years of age, approximately 6’2” tall with a very thin build.
Nearby residents and boat ramp visitors are asked to be on the lookout if they are in the area and please report anything suspicious.
